Singer-songwriter
Faye Rochelle has an incredibly diverse and warm voice, and her session
singing has crossed many different genres, from electronica through
to jazz, World Music and folk.
Growing-up
in North London, Faye is a Performing Arts graduate who has been
involved with singing in studios and on stage since an early age,
featuring in theatre productions and gigs.
Electronic
artists Doppler 20:20,
Law and Order and Muslimgauze
have all used her vocal talents. As have artists from her more usual
field of Jazz, World and Folk music such as Lemon
Ensemble, Eric Mingus, Kuljit Bhamra and Koan.
Faye
is involved with two of her own acts:
Spooncurve
with it's mix of contemporary and underground beats and re-mixes
Her
solo project, which sits in the singer-songwriter world/folk genre
leaning towards the mainstream and featuring musicians Nigel Eaton,
Steafan Hannigan, Kuljit Bhamra, Martin Lee-Stephenson, Rachel Auty,
Saskia Tomkins, Bob Derwood Andrews, Lol Gellor, Sarah Cracknell,
Gerry Diver, Ben Clarke, Chris Kelly.
